Lieberman Hearts Alito

This morning on ABC’s “This Week,” George Will reported that Senator Joe Lieberman’s office now says the Senator was wrong to vote against the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.  The only explanation Will provided was that “having seen Alito in action,” Lieberman thinks he was mistaken.  The big question is whether Senator Lieberman really finds Justice Alito’s performance to be all that reassuring, or whether he’s positioning himself for a greater role in the McCain campaign.
