The Next Nominees

Most of the current judicial vacancies are on the district courts, where there is unlikely to be much controversy about the President’s nominees. The key is to watch the handful of appellate nominees, such as that to replace Michael Chertoff or to fill the multiple vacancies on the Ninth Circuit.
