Animal Rights Ideology Believes Humans/Animals “Equal”


When Ingrid Newkirk said, “A rat, is a fish, is a dog, is a boy,” she meant that to the animal rightist, humans and animals are equal in moral value.

In other words, properly understood, animal rights is an ideology, it is not being nicer to animals. That is animal welfare.

An animal rights campaign called Be Fair Be Vegan makes that ideology clear and explicit, as in the photo from the campaign above.

It is also ignorant as hell, epitomized by the photo from the campaign below about wool in sweaters. And sheep aren’t “hopeful.”  Good grief.
