Assange as Time Man of the Year

Look, I’m no fan of Assange,  nor do I like the increasingly ridiculous MOTY feature (or I guess I should say POTY now). But Assange is a legitimate choice. He’s a newsmaker who represents something bigger than just himself. I’m apprehensive about reading Time’s justification for the pick, but the pick itself is perfectly defensible — unlike many picks over the last couple decades.

I’m sorry: I know this might offend some of you who are still bragging about the fact that “you” were selected a few years back as the person of the year:
