Bloomberg Releases App for Sexually Active Teens

The administration of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg is now offering a smartphone app for sexually active teens. It provides information about clinics where they can procure procure birth control and emergency contraception and schedule STD, HIV, and pregnancy tests — and notes where such services are offered for free.

The app, Kids in NYC Protection+, is currently available for download and advertised on the web page of the city’s Department of Health. “Teens in New York State have a legal right to get services (STI tests, birth control, etc.) without the permission or knowledge of parents, guardians, boyfriends, girlfriends, or anyone else,” the site advises.

The existence of the app, which has not been publicly announced by the Department of Health, was first reported by the New York Post

Obstruction Confusions

In his Lawfare critique of one of my several columns about the purported obstruction case against President Trump, Gabriel Schoenfeld loses me — as I suspect he will lose others — when he says of himself, “I do not think I am Trump-deranged.” Gabe graciously expresses fondness for me, and the feeling is ...
