The sleuths at the Washington Post have noticed that
a nugget in Bloomberg’s Thursday story on the Cain harassment accusations reveals that Cain’s “lavish spending” while head of the National Restaurant Association drew criticism from the body’s board . . . racking up cellphone and travel bills that drew accountants’ attention.
No word yet from the Post on whether Cain’s cellphone charges exceeded the $5 trillion in lavish spending going on at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Apparently the accountants there are more laid-back than those at the National Restaurant Association.
