Carney: White House Still Doesn’t Know about Furloughs

Press secretary Jay Carney told reporters today that he has no knowledge whether anybody in the White House or the Executive Office of the President will be furloughed due to the sequester. That news was received with annoyance by the White House press corps. “I’ve been asking about this for weeks,” one reporter said. “Is there a way to, maybe, corral some of the information and put it out? . . . Because we’re going to keep asking again and again and again.”
