In Defense of Helen Thomas

I don’t want to beat an old horse, but it’s a bit unfair to compare Helen Thomas to Hezbollah. After all, Helen demanded all the Jews leave Israel, whereas Hassan Nasrallah, secretary-general of Hezbollah, told Lebanon’s Daily Star on October 22, 2002, that “If they [the Jews] all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them world wide.” Clearly, Helen only endorses religious cleansing; she doesn’t openly support genocide.

Love, Simon Outs Hollywood’s Youth Exploitation

Simon (Nick Robinson), the 17-year-old white gay high-school student in Love, Simon, appears to be a comic version of the protagonist in Moonlight. Rather than blatantly copy that Oscar-winning black-gay-victim film, Love, Simon remakes the pathetic Moonlight in the more marketable guise of a sitcom about a ... Read More
