Alternet/Salon lists the “7 cities that are playgrounds for the rich and nightmares for the poor.” The top three are in the United States. In order, they are:
1. New York City
2. Los Angeles
3. San Francisco
At what point, one wonders, does some of the blame for this fall on the American Left? It is notable, is it not, that these cities are not, say, Houston. It is also notable that the author does not seem to blame the Democratic party at all for the state of these cities. Would he have been so kind to conservative politicians if their areas had fallen into the list?
