Fox Guest Won’t Say if Hamas Is a Terrorist Organization

A Palestinian-American guest of Fox News got heat from Sean Hannity Thursday night when he repeatedly failed to say whether he believed Hamas was a terrorist organization.

Hannity asked Yousef Munayyer, executive director of the Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development and the Palestine Center, dodged the question several times.

“Do I get to actually speak now?” Munayyer said.

“You have to answer the question,” Hannity responded. “It’s a simple yes or no question.”

“Sir, you invited me on here as a guest,” Munayyer replied.

Hannity repeated his question, to which Munayyer responded, ”Thank you for your question, and now I will provide an answer.”

But instead of doing so, he began to berate Hannity for his hosting methods. “It’s very telling to me, and it should be telling to your viewers as well, that the moment you have a Palestinian voice on your program who begins to explain the legitimate grievances of the Palestinians, not just Hamas — ”

Hannity interjected, telling him to answer the question.

“Is Hamas a terrorist organization? What part of this can’t you get through your thick head?” Hannity said.

At the end of the segment, Munayyer asked if he would “get to say anything in this conversation.”

“You had your chance,” Hannity replied. “You didn’t say Hamas is a terrorist organization. Goodbye.”

During a CNN town hall on gun control, a furious crowd of Americans jeered at two conservatives, Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch, who stood in defense of the Second ... Read More

Obstruction Confusions

In his Lawfare critique of one of my several columns about the purported obstruction case against President Trump, Gabriel Schoenfeld loses me — as I suspect he will lose others — when he says of himself, “I do not think I am Trump-deranged.” Gabe graciously expresses fondness for me, and the feeling is ... Students’ Anti-Gun Views

Are children innocents or are they leaders? Are teenagers fully autonomous decision-makers, or are they lumps of mental clay, still being molded by unfolding brain development? The Left seems to have a particularly hard time deciding these days. Take, for example, the high-school students from Parkland, ... Read More

Kill Chic

We live in a society in which gratuitous violence is the trademark of video games, movies, and popular music. Kill this, shoot that in repugnant detail becomes a race to the visual and spoken bottom. We have gone from Sam Peckinpah’s realistic portrayal of violent death to a gory ritual of metal ripping ... Read More
