Get Your Long-Form Mug Now!

In an e-mail to supporters, Julianna Smoot, President Obama’s deputy campaign manager, mocks Jerome Corsi, author of the newly released (and already discredited) Where’s the Birth Certificate?

“Corsi’s work is a greatest-hits reel of delusions,” Smoot writes, “ranging from 9/11 conspiracies to claiming that there is an infinite supply of oil in the Earth’s core. In 2008, he published a book about Barack Obama claiming, among other things, that he (a) is a secret Muslim; (b) is secretly anti-military; (c) secretly dealt drugs; and (d) secretly supported terrorist actions when he was eight years old. So many secrets!”

To top it all off, Smoot announces the latest campaign paraphernalia: a coffee mug sporting an image of the president’s long-form birth certificate.

“If the facts can’t make these ridiculous smears go away, we can at least have a little fun with it,” Smoot writes.

(And if you, like me, don’t drink coffee, you can order a t-shirt version.)

The Gun-Control Debate Could Break America

Last night, the nation witnessed what looked a lot like an extended version of the famous “two minutes hate” from George Orwell’s novel 1984. During a CNN town hall on gun control, a furious crowd of Americans jeered at two conservatives, Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch, who stood in defense of the Second ... Read More
