Graham: ‘Time is Not Right’ for DADT Repeal

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) tells NRO that Senate testimony by the service chiefs this week was “very persuasive” and remains adamant that “the time is not right” to repeal ‘Don’t’ Ask, Don’t Tell.’

“The Marine Corps, the Army, the Air Force all said that it will be disruptive,” Graham says. “I hope my colleagues understand that this is major social change and it is being driven by a political agenda.” He urges Republicans to “listen” to the testimony and says it would “ill-advised” for the Senate to address this issue in the lame-duck session.
