Hayden: Snowden Has Info That Would Be ‘Catastrophic’

Former CIA director Michael Hayden said he had no reason to doubt that NSA leaker Edward Snowden has a “Doomsday cache” of highly sensitive information he can release. “It’s the kind of thing that someone as clever as Snowden has shown himself to be would do,” he said on Fox News Sunday.

Hayden, who also served as NSA director, warned that “this is catastrophic for the safety and the security of the American nation what this very narcissistic young man has done,” but that the U.S. government should continue to pursue Snowden rather than back off. Snowden is thought to be holding the most highly sensitive information as an insurance policy.
