Huck Is the Conservative Alternative?

At Powerline, Paul Mirengoff provides Gov. Huckabee’s response to some comments by Rich:

There’s a sense in which all these years the evangelicals have been treated very kindly by the Republican Party. They wanted us to be a part of it. And then one day one of us actually runs, and they say, Oh, my gosh. Now they’re serious. They don’t want to just show up and vote. They actually would want to be a part of the discussion, and really talk about issues that include hunger and poverty and things that ought to be really a concern to every American, Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative.

I’ll just leave it at:  Astounding.

UPDATE:  I should have figured that Byron was already on the case on this one — see here.  While I have the cause to do so I’ll just reiterate as to Byron — who has set the standard for years — what I said earlier this evening about David’s stellar work on the Hill.  If you want to know objectively what is going on in the halls of government, it does not get any better than what NRO provides day in and day out.

Obstruction Confusions

In his Lawfare critique of one of my several columns about the purported obstruction case against President Trump, Gabriel Schoenfeld loses me — as I suspect he will lose others — when he says of himself, “I do not think I am Trump-deranged.” Gabe graciously expresses fondness for me, and the feeling is ... Set NASA Free

The Trump administration has proposed shifting the International Space Station from a NASA-exclusive research facility to a semi-public, semi-private one. Its plan would nix all government funding for the ISS by 2025 and award at least $150 million per year to NASA to help with the transition. This would be a ... Read More
