Jack Calfee, R.I.P.

I was stunned to hear about the tragic death of AEI scholar Jack Calfee. Jack was one of the pioneers in studying the FDA and the impact of its processes on the development of new, life-saving, life-extending biomedical products. A generation of younger scholars, this writer included, are long-time followers of his work and have been influenced by his careful and thoughtful approach. He will be missed.
