Jeb Bush Opts Out of CPAC Straw Poll

CNN just confirmed that Jeb Bush asked not to be included in CPAC’s straw poll: 

“He requested not to be put on the poll this year,” an official with the American Conservative Union, the group that puts on CPAC, told CNN. The official asked to remain anonymous to speak more freely.

And that was quickly confirmed by a spokesman for Bush.

Does this mean he doesn’t get to be president? Probably not — the CPAC straw poll is a less than reliable predictor of presidential success, as NPR explains
