Rich – Maybe I missed it while I was travelling, but if you haven’t read the George Packer article in the latest New Yorker (or maybe it’s last week’s, I got it at the airport), it’s got a great profile of Australian insurgency expert David Kilkillen. I couldn’t find it online (though I did find this write up from The Middle East Times ). Anyway, I’d be really interested in knowing what you or others around here thought about it. It seems very persuasive to me on some key points, including the need to look at our enemy as a global insurgency which needs to be fought like 60 individual ones.
