Martin Resignation

Paul Martin, the defeated Liberal prime minister, has just announced he will resign the Liberal leadership. This is bad news for the new Tory government since the new Leader will probably be untainted by the scandals of his government and that of his predecessor Jean Chretien. It may be good news for the newly elected Liberal MP, Michael Ignatieff, who is being groomed for great things by the party establishment.
