Chet’s restaurant in Toledo, Ohio, which President Obama referenced in a speech last week as an indirect beneficiary of the auto bailouts (there’s a Chrysler plant nearby) is closing down after seventy years in business.

The owner of the restaurant attributed its demise to a combination of the slow economy and a recently instituted state smoking ban(!).
