Obama: Second Term Mandate to Raise Taxes

In case you were still wondering what the reelection of President Obama would mean, he had an answer for you on Morning Joe. Reelection would be a mandate to raise taxes:

If I’ve won, I believe that’s a mandate for doing it [cutting the deficit] in a balanced way. We’ve already made a trillion dollars worth of cuts, we can do some more cuts, we can look at how we deal with the healthcare costs in particular under Medicare, Medicaid in a serious way. But we are also going to need some revenue.
