And Mark, there isn’t a similar migration of Republican political activists into the MSM. It’s one of the reasons the MSM tilts as far left as it does.

Also consider the conservatives who appear regularly on TV.

George Will is often critical of Bush (today’s column is an example).

Bob Novak criticizes Bush and Republicans from a different perspective. (His famous column on Joe Wilson, contrary to popular belief, flattered Wilson and criticized the White House.)

Pat Buchanan left the Republican Party years ago (I assume Bay Buchanan did, too). Tucker Carlson often differs with the GOP on a range of issues.

And then there are Brooks and Shields on PBS. Mark Shields reliably and invariably spouts Democratic talking points. David Brooks does not, he is often critical of Bush, of Republicans and of conservatives.
