John, as a Coolidge fan, you must know that Harding has been maligned, and is being revised upwards. He suffered from dying in office, before he could be vindicated by re-election; from provoking the scorn of H.L. Mencken, when Mencken was still cool; and from myth-making New Deal historians (Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. was the most lasting).
