Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton Thinks Iraq War Was Worst of 20th Century

Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D., D.C), who is a non-voting congressional observer, called the war Iraq “perhaps the most catastrophic war of the 20th century by the United States of America” on Thursday.

The Iraq War took place in the 21st century. If Holmes meant to compare it to 20th-century wars, she would seem to think it was worse than World Wars I and II, Korea, and Vietnam, all of which had higher death tolls.
