RNC Updates Delegate Total

After reading my piece on the possibility of a brokered convention, a member of the Republican National Committee emails me the latest delegate count. After reviewing its initial tabulations, the RNC has determined that Mississippi and Nebraska each deserve one additional delegate, bringing the total number of delegates to 2,286. That means a candidate will need 1,144 delegates to win the nomination.
