Robert Gibbs: Hey, the President Answered ‘a Question’!

President Obama seems to have been pressured into making a cameo at today’s White House briefing due to the increasing number of complaints from reporters that he hasn’t been as, um, transparent as they’d hoped.

Given the president’s tacit acknowledgement today of those gripes, it’s worth watching Robert Gibbs argue — yesterday — how available the president has made himself to the press. Among other assertions, Gibbs notes, in the president’s defense, that he took “a question” from the White House press corps in August.
