Romney on Omission of Reference to Troops: ‘Words in a Speech . . .’

David Gregory asked Mitt Romney if it was a mistake not to mention the war in Afghanistan and to thank the troops in his keynote to the RNC. Romney replied, “You know, I find it interesting that people are curious about mentioning words in a speech as opposed to policy. And so I went to the American Legion the day before I gave that speech.”  The full exchange is below.
