Ron Paul, Commander-in-Chief

Why did it take Ron Paul to remind the other candidates that the commander-in-chief tells the generals what to do, and not the other way around? Are the rest of the candidates that scared of appearing dovish that they have to defer to the generals on Afghanistan and DADT? Jonah’s latest column on the cowardliness of Washington was so right, and the answers regarding the use of the military prove that the problem is as bad as he said it was. It makes me wish Barbour were running. He was at least bold enough to express doubts about staying in Afghanistan.
