State Prosecutors: Zimmerman ‘Lucky’ to be Acquitted

Florida state prosecutors spoke out about the Zimmerman trial Monday afternoon. During an interview with HLN, Bernie de la Rionda and Angela Corey discussed the “wealth of hard, cold, physical evidence” that should have condemned George Zimmerman and explained their strategy for trying to prove that his story was false.

When asked whether he respected the defense team, Riona paused and said “I’m not going to comment about them. I’ll leave that to other pundits.”

Both prosectors were asked to describe the defendent and Trayvon Martin in one word. Rionda called Zimmerman “lucky” and Martin a “victim,” while Corey described the former as a “murderer” and Martin his “prey.”
