Team O Debuts New Debate Narrative: ‘Masterful Theatrical Performance’

The Obama campaign debuted a new explanation for the president’s defeat in Wednesday’s debate, attributing it to a “masterful theatrical performance” on the part of Governor Romney.  The talking points seem to have made the rounds, as both Robert Gibbs and Paul Krugman used the phrase this morning.  

Here’s Robert Gibbs, who also concedes that the president “knew pretty quickly” he hadn’t performed up to his own expectations.  How diplomatic.
