Top Dem Says Palin Attractive, Intellectually Dense

Sarah Palin’s video message about the Arizona shootings has already drawn criticism from a House Democrat leader.

“You know, Sarah Palin just can’t seem to get it, on any front. I think she’s an attractive person, she is articulate,” said assistant House minority leader James Clyburn (D., S.C.) on a radio show this morning, according to The Hill. “But I think intellectually, she seems not to be able to understand what’s going on here.”

Clyburn compared today’s rhetoric with that of the Civil Rights era, and said that he had “some experiences that maybe she [Palin] does not have.”

“When I see and hear things today that are reminiscent of that period of time, I am very, very concerned about it, because I know what it led to back then, and I know what it can lead to again,” Clyburn remarked.

The Gun-Control Debate Could Break America

Last night, the nation witnessed what looked a lot like an extended version of the famous “two minutes hate” from George Orwell’s novel 1984. During a CNN town hall on gun control, a furious crowd of Americans jeered at two conservatives, Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch, who stood in defense of the Second ... Read More
