Trump Trashes Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon’s attacks on Trump’s family that were published today were the final straw.

Trump has now torched him in a statement for the ages:

Trump is clearly exaggerating to belittle Bannon, but this basic picture here is correct: Bannon is all about himself, he spent a lot of time leaking for his own ends in the White House, and he doesn’t realize the extent to which Trump, not he, was the genius in the Trump campaign.

We’re supposed to believe that Breitbart created Trump; now, we’ll see how they fare at war with the president (although they will probably try to duck and cover to the maximum extent possible).

Obstruction Confusions

In his Lawfare critique of one of my several columns about the purported obstruction case against President Trump, Gabriel Schoenfeld loses me — as I suspect he will lose others — when he says of himself, “I do not think I am Trump-deranged.” Gabe graciously expresses fondness for me, and the feeling is ...
