Underreported News on the Buffett Tax

So yesterday President Obama was in Florida pitching his “Buffett tax,” while Joe Biden will be in New Hampshire doing the same tomorrow.

What I find interesting is that both Florida and New Hampshire have no state income tax. Wouldn’t the “fair” thing under the Obama definition be for states like Florida and New Hampshire to change their tax laws so that their residents pay taxes? Why should all U.S. taxpayers subsidize these states?

I know the reason the president and the vice president have picked these states is because they are swing states, but if Republicans in New Hampshire and Florida can’t win on this issue by forcing state Dems to endorse the implementation of a state tax, then we deserve to lose.
