Axelrod’s Poli Sci Institute: ‘Nonpartisan’?

After the 2012 election, reports the Chicago Tribune, President Obama’s top strategist, mastermind David Axelrod, will head off to the University of Chicago to run a new political institute that will involve students in campaigns.

Axelrod says he aspires to spur on “a new generation of people who will be active in politics” and claims the institute will be “studiously nonpartisan.”

No doubt Axelrod will help to swell the ranks of activist students and future political operators — leftist students and poiticos. But “nonpartisan” studies under his tutelage? When pigs fly.
