Hostility to Free Speech on Canadian Campuses

In her Pope Center piece, Wendy McElroy writes about the hostility among Canadian university administrators toward speech that some find “offensive” — namely anti-abortion displays. She offers them good advice: tolerance. Instead of turning anti-abortion protesters into martyrs for free speech, just let them have an equal opportunity to say what they want to say and leave the rest to the marketplace of ideas.
