If We Shut Our Eyes They Can’t See Us

A few weeks ago, I ran across an article in The Atlantic called “Let’s Calm Down about Higher Education,” in which a retired academic attacked higher-education critics for being either irrelevant or politically motivated and devious. The author, John Tierney, so epitomized the cluelessness and dismissive arrogance of the higher education establishment I just had to hit back with this Pope Center article, “The Best of All Possible Worlds.”
