Here’s the exciting footage from last night in Pittsburgh, showing Starling Marte’s sprint around the bases with two outs in the bottom of the ninth of a tie game:

It’s evident that the original out call was a result of the home plate umpire’s suboptimal positioning. Marte’s dive blocked Quinn Wolcott’s view of Buster Posey’s attempted tag, which missed the Pirate’s outstretched right arm.
