Virginia Democrat Runs Ads Pledging to Fight Koch Brothers

Here in Virginia’s eighth congressional district, Democrats will select their nominee for Congress on June 10. Incumbent Jim Moran is retiring to spend more time with his controversies.

One of the nine Democrats hoping to replace Moran, Mark Levine — pretty much the diametric opposite of radio talk-show host Mark Levin — has a television ad in which he pledges to help protect the district from the menace of the Koch brothers:

Levine says that his role model is Elizabeth Warren, his old boss was Barney Frank, and he “wrote the congressional legal challenge to overturn Bush v. Gore.”

The Republican candidate in November will be Micah Edmond.
