Eight people were wounded in shootings across the city since Tuesday evening.
Most recently in Rogers Park, a 33-year-old man was shot in the hip and stomach about 2:15 a.m. after a “verbal altercation about gang affiliation” in the 1600 block of West Morse Avenue, police said.
Two hours earlier in Englewood, a 25-year-old man was shot in both of his feet when a gunman opened fire from a passing car, police said.
The 25-year-old was in 5600 block of South Shields Avenue about 12:15 a.m. when somebody in a passing light-colored vehicle shot him, police said. The man was taken to Storger Hospital.
Meanwhile, a teenager on the North Side suffered a gunshot wound to the ankle, though police suspect his injury may have been self-inflicted. . .
