3,769 Have Signed Up for Obamacare in Minnesota

MNsure, Minnesota’s state-run Obamacare exchange, announced yesterday that over 3,700 people have signed up for health-insurance coverage.

Of the 5,569 people who have finished the application process, 3,769 have finalized their enrollment or were waiting for their payment to process, and an additional 1,800 have finished their applications but have not selected an insurer. Because some of those plans will cover more than one person, the exchange estimates that the number of applications finalized would translate into 11,684 people gaining coverage.

MNsure has a goal of helping 823,755 people obtain health insurance by the end of 2014.
