75 Years Ago: Russia Invades Finland

Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the start of the Winter War, when Soviet troops invaded Finland in a raw bid for territory. It was a David-versus-Goliath match-up, fought keenly over 105 days by the brave, resourceful, and overwhelmed Finns, but without the same result (although Russia suffered nearly five times the casualties). Here’s a worthwhile documentary​ on a largely forgotten chapter of World War II:
