Chuck Schumer is currently on the floor of the Senate, indignantly defending the integrity of the Second Amendment. Given the strength and purity of this newfound support, now would be a great time for Schumer and his party to introduce some bills strengthening the right to keep and bear arms at the federal level. Then, once those bills have passed, Schumer could personally send them over to Trump, who, because he is against the Second Amendment now, would presumably veto them, and thereby hand Schumer a big political victory.
