Abandoning Big Business

As Katrina notes below, Governor Bobby Jindal is urging his GOP colleagues not to remain the party of “big business.” We’ll soon see how many Republicans are willing to follow this advice.  As Tim Carney reports, the lame-duck session provides ample opportunities for Republicans to tackle corporate welfare: “Sugar subsidies, bank bailouts and special tax credits for well-connected industries will be on the table between now and the end of the year. In every case, the limited-government position is also the anti-big business position.”
