Rod: I know exactly what you mean. Probably every conservative does.

Around the time of the 2000 election, I was chatting with a colleague, a

thirty-something lady of high intelligence and excellent education, holding

down a very good job at a Wall Street firm. She told me she could never,

never vote for a Republican. Why not? I asked. “Because they want to

force me to have babies.” That’s what she said. No kidding.
