Admin Answers Rand Paul: President Doesn’t Have Authority to Kill Americans on U.S. Soil

At the White House Press Briefing today, Jay Carney relayed attorney general Eric Holder and the administration’s response to Senator Rand Paul’s question about domestic drone use. Paul had asked, “Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?” The answer, Carney explained, is “no.”
