AEI and Carbon Taxes

Regarding Iain’s post, AEI’s point guy on the issue, Ken Green, opposes carbon taxes. Kevin Hassett has never endorsed them. He has merely said they are superior to cap-and-trade and similar policies — a reasonable view. If CEI, the place Murray works, which has been pushing this anti-AEI story, wants to take the view that righties should never talk to libs, I suppose that’s fine. But there is zero evidence that AEI is pushing carbon taxes or planning to. CEI might have done its AEI targets the courtesy of calling them before trashing them. That way CEI could have found out, for example, if the “agenda” accurately characterized the discussions that actually happened. I am reliably informed that it doesn’t.
