Jacob Weisberg and I don’t always see eye to eye (duh), but he speaks truth to power quite nicely here. Whenever I hear the likes of Charlie Rose or Diane Rehm take Kevin Phillips seriously as a “Republican” it drives me batty. He is decidedly leftwing in all things relevant and transparently so. He’s been milking the same schtick for more than 20 years and liberals who would have no use for him if he didn’t have the credibility of a “convert,” continue to behave as if it’s been just a couple days since he was sitting in a meeting with Karl Rove, George W. Bush and the editors of National Review as a conservative in good standing.
