I really don’t have much of an opinion of Tim LaHaye one way or the other. But I think Ross Douthat does a fine job dispensing with the comparison of LeHaye to Iranian Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Though I think he leaves out the scariest part of Ahmadinejad’s ideology/eschatology. His alleged membership in the Hojjatieh.
