Alabama State Band Spells ‘Trayvon’ During Halftime

The Alabama State marching band spelled out “Trayvon” Saturday night in a tribute to Trayvon Martin.

The band spelled out the name during halftime of the game against Jackson State. Southwestern Athletic Conference Commissioner Duer Sharp tweeted a picture of the band but did not otherwise comment.

Both Alabama State and Jackson State are historically black universities.
