Just got back to the office yesterday from a visit there with my girlfriend. What a wonderful state! At least in July. I did some fly-fishing, but didn’t catch anything (thus leaving intact my status as the world’s worst fly-fisherman). I ran out of gas while driving between Delta Junction and Fairbanks (thus impressing no one with my survival or automotive skills, let alone my basic competence). And went to Ft. Greely to ogle at the silos with missile-defense interceptors in them (thus certifying for myself that the ABM treaty is really and truly a dead letter–hurrah!).
