Tom Friedman begins his column this morning by saying: “Columnists for this newspaper are not allowed to endorse presidential candidates.” Gosh, and I couldn’t possibly venture a guess about who Paul Krugman, Maureen Dowd and Bob Herbert might favor. Don’t have a clue. What a head-scratcher.

Then Tom endorses George H.W. Bush.

Hey, better late than never. I figure about 20016 he’ll endorse W, too.
